How to Create Your Own Wood Picture Frame

Creating a homemade picture frame will add a personalized and distinguished touch to any piece of art. To create your own wood picture frame, you will first need to measure the dimensions of the object that will be framed. Then, you will need to select a type of moulding or lumber that will be used to build your frame. Each leg of the frame will be cut from the moulding with a 45 degree angle on each end. Using clamps and glue, you can assemble all four sides into the shape of the frame. Once the legs have been glued, the frame will be sanded and finished. Finally, mounting hardware, such as picture hanging wire, will be installed on the back of the frame. Your frame will then be ready for your picture, and can be mounted on the wall.
